English Victorian gemstone pansy ring

This delicate gemstone pansy ring is modeled in 15ct gold, set with amethyst and citrine.
The pear cut gemstones, with their open-back design, allow light to pass freely through them, refracting and releasing the gem's natural luster. Determined by the structure of ring, we can tell it is a conversion from brooch or even small pendant. It is a pansy of gemstones blooming on the finger. 

The elegant botanical pattern continues all the way to the shoulders of the ring, with small, delicate, symmetrical leaves holding the blossom.
