French Art Nouveau enameled book-shaped pendant

DESCRIPTION

A book-shaped pendant with enameled message « jours mémorables» and hand-painted edelweiss on the cover c.1900, French in origin. It is crafted in silver gilt, showing a very pretty silver-ish gold color.

Edelweiss, a furry delicate little flower that grows in the toughest environment in Alps, symbolizes devotion.

The pendant is in good antique condition with light scratches and some worn to the pages.
