English Edwardian Toi et Moi gemstone ring

DESCRIPTION

An antique Toi et Moi ring set with sapphire and ruby from the beginning of 20th century, English in origin.

Toi et Moi means you and me in French. In ring design it means a ring featuring two gemstones, set side by side to symbolize the union of two souls. It is a popular choice for engagement ring since the 18th century.

On this Toi et Moi ring, intense colored ruby and sapphire are main stones, further decorated with three diamonds in leaf-shaped setting on both side. The design is not very common but shows strong character.
