French Romantic era three-row diamond band

DESCRIPTION

This is an 18k gold diamond ring from the Romantic period in France, dating back to the 1830s-1840s.

The wide band of the ring is split on the front into what appears to be three separate, parallel rows of diamonds. Each row is adorned with nine rose-cut diamonds. The larger open-back-set central stone is surrounded by smaller diamonds, creating a visually intricate effect resembling a constellation of stars. This design reflects the jewelry trends of the era, which favored a natural and individualistic aesthetic.

The ring is in good antique condition, showing typical signs of oxidation and wear. The inside of the band bears the 18k gold eagle head hallmark.
