French Belle Epoque diamond ribbon bracelet c.1900
This is a diamond ribbon bracelet from the French Belle Époque era, circa 1900, crafted in 18k gold and sterling silver.
The bracelet features the characteristic flowing lines of the Belle Époque period, resembling a soft ribbon and exuding a gentle, natural grace. The open-back setting of the diamonds allows more light to enter, enhancing the brilliance of the diamonds. Two rose-cut diamonds, set with prongs, embellish the twists of the ribbon on either side, creating a bypass effect that adds depth and dimension to the piece.
The bracelet is hinged at the top and bottom, and its seamless design is continued with a concealed, press-release clasp, exhibiting meticulous craftsmanship. The bracelet is overall in good antique condition, showing normal oxidation and signs of wear. The clasp functions properly without damage.
