DESCRIPTION

This pin dates to the 1900s and is crafted in 9k gold by Murrle, Bennett & Co.

Murrle, Bennett & Co. (1884-1916) was founded in London by Ernst Mürrle and J.B. Bennett. The brand is celebrated for its exquisite Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts style jewelry.

The structure of the brooch is seamless; instead of the typical pin system found on most brooches, this piece features a twisted gold wire that forms a large pin, allowing it to be securely fastened to fabric garments. Its simple lines create an interesting design that flows elegantly.

The piece bears both a patent and the maker’s mark. It is in good antique condition, showing minor signs of oxidation and wear.
