French Belle Epoque diamond lace jabot pin c.1900
This French jabot pin from the Belle Époque period (c.1900) is crafted in 18k gold with silver-topped settings and set with a total of 18 antique diamonds: 3 old mine cuts and 15 rose cuts.
Designed in the form of a stylized geometric arrow, this double-ended construction is typical of jabot pins—originally used to secure the folds of a decorative jabot at the collar. Only the two terminal ends remain visible when worn, merging function with ornamental elegance. Today, it can also be styled freely on lapels, hats, or knitwear as a modern accent.
Both the arrowhead and fletching are open-backed to allow light through the stones, enhancing their brilliance against the cool silver surface. The fan-shaped fletching is rendered in lace-like openwork, delicately pierced and finely articulated—a testament to the refined craftsmanship characteristic of the Belle Époque.
In good antique condition, with age-appropriate oxidation and surface wear. As condition assessment is subjective, please click and enlarge the photos for closer inspection.
