(RESERVED) French Art Nouveau 18k gold and silver arrow ring with rose-cut diamonds and pearl, c.1900
This French Art Nouveau ring from c.1900 is crafted in 18k gold with silver-topped settings, set with rose-cut diamonds and a pearl.
The knife-edge shank preserves the band’s structural thickness while giving it a refined, slender profile. From this base, the design resolves into a circling arrow: the arrowhead and fletching pavé-set with rose-cut diamonds, while a lustrous pearl rests at the center as a symbolic “arrow through the heart,” evoking Cupid’s bow in Romantic and Art Nouveau design.
The silver-topped mount was deliberately chosen to enhance the diamonds’ brilliance and keep them looking bright and white. Set directly into yellow gold, diamonds often appear tinted or dull; the silver layer prevents this, allowing the stones to display maximum sparkle and crispness.
It is in good antique condition with normal oxidation and wear, more pronounced in some areas. As condition assessments are subjective, please click and enlarge our photos to examine the details closely before making your evaluation.
