First Half of the 20th Century English Diamond Horseshoe Brooch

DESCRIPTION

This English brooch from the first half of the 20th century is crafted in 9k gold and silver, set with rose-cut diamonds.

The piece is formed as a minimal horseshoe motif with clean lines and a geometric quality approaching Art Deco design. The surface of the horseshoe is set with a relatively uncommon double row of rose-cut diamonds.

The horseshoe is a recurring motif in jewelry design, often associated with luck and protection. When worn with the opening facing upward, it is also commonly understood as a symbol of receiving or holding good fortune.
