EDOUARD-AIMÉ ARNOULD Art Nouveau gold aquamarine ring
For sale is a gold aquamarine ring made by Edouard-Aimé Arnould. The ring is marked “ARNOULD” and carries French assay marks. The ring is composed of a central emerald cut aquamarine held between two ivy leafs beautifully forming the shoulders. The sculptural quality of the leaves is enhanced with areas of bright polish contrasting with areas in a slightly matte finish.
Edouard-Aimé Arnould was an important artist known for his avant-garde jewellery with floral themes. He began practicing as a manufacturer of jewellery in 1899. Arnould worked with some of the most important European artists such as Alois Reinitzer, prize-winner at the 1900 Exhibition, Alphonse Mucha and many others.
