Victorian diamond and pearl crescent moon brooch in original box
A crescent moon brooch set with pearls and old cut diamonds from the end of 19th century, English in origin. The crescent moon is elegantly embellished with three pearl stars aligned in a straight row.
In Victorian jewelry, crescent moons often symbolized spirituality and feminine strength, while stars were emblematic of guidance and direction for the spirit.
This unique brooch is accompanied by its equally rare original scallop-shaped wooden presentation box, featuring a light blue velvet and silk interior. The brooch itself is in excellent condition; however, there are some cracks in the wooden frame of the box.
