1900s English Arts & Crafts ruby and pearl bouquet ring
This is a flower-themed ring from the 1900s, showcasing the English Arts and Crafts style. Crafted entirely from 18k gold, the main stone is a captivating ruby cabochon.
The ring beautifully embodies the movement's reverence for natural themes. Four delicately crafted pearl-set flowers surround the central stone, with overlapping petals creating a natural layering effect. The Arts and Crafts Movement favored irregularly shaped gemstones such as pearls and opals, and the use of cabochon-cut stones was also prominent. The highlight of this piece is a vibrant ruby cabochon, secured by four leaf-shaped prongs extending gracefully from the ring band.
The ring is in good antique condition, exhibiting only normal oxidation and signs of wear. There is no risk of gemstone detachment. Inside the band, it is marked 18ct and engraved with 'S to M 1947,' indicating that the ring predates 1947.
