(RESERVED) French Art Nouveau organic free-form gemstone statement ring c.1900
This is an abstractly shaped ring from the French Art Nouveau period of the 1900s, crafted in 18k solid gold and platinum, adorned with a brown zircon, a citrine and diamonds.
This handmade ring is of substantial size, with abstract and asymmetrical lines that embody the unrestricted natural vitality of the Art Nouveau period.
The brown zircon and the citrine, both shaped like water drops, are enveloped by natural forms reminiscent of fern leaves, connecting them in a hollow, three-dimensional space that enhances the vitality of the piece. On either side, diamonds set in platinum accents not only provide a color contrast but also, because platinum reflects the brilliance of diamonds, highlight the bold yet delicate design details of the piece.
The piece is in good antique condition, showing normal oxidation and signs of wear. Assessing the condition can be subjective, so please click and enlarge our photos to examine more details for judgment.
