Italian Etruscan Revival hand-wired pearl crown pendant
This Italian hand-wired pearl crown pendant c.1830 is crafted in Etruscan Revival style.
The piece is hand-hammered into a thin layer of gold. The front is covered with intricate gold work, a typical Etruscan Revival style design.
On top of the surface, hand wired natural baroque pearls of various shapes were stacked together by hand twisted gold wires to secure them from the back.The detachable design allows the top and bottom halves of the pendant to be worn separately. With a variety of handcraft techniques, this piece truly showcases the wonderful craftsmanship of antique jewelry.
