French diamond crown gold ring c.1940
This is a crown-shaped ring from the mid-20th century, circa 1940, crafted in 18k solid gold and adorned with brilliant-cut diamonds.
Inspired by the organic forms of the Art Nouveau period, this ring features a crown design with sinuous lines and appropriate openwork, giving it a lavish yet not overly heavy appearance.
Nine brilliant-cut diamonds are scattered across the ring's band like stars, with this particular cut maximizing light refraction and showcasing the diamonds' brilliant sparkle. Even against the large expanse of the gold base, the diamonds continue to shimmer dazzlingly.
The ring is in good pre-owned condition, showing only minor oxidation and signs of wear. The inside of the ring band is marked with "18k" and a copyright symbol. As the assessment of condition can be subjective, please click and enlarge our photos to examine more details for judgment.
