French ruby and diamond ring c.1930
This is a French serpent ring from the 1930s, crafted in 18k solid gold and set with ruby and brilliant-cut diamonds.
The ring is substantial and heavy, with the coiled body of the snake forming the ring design. The snake's head is set with a 4mm diameter (approximately 0.15 carats) ruby, which exhibits a rich, vivid color with a pinkish hue. The eyes of the snake are set with single 0.01-carat brilliant-cut diamonds, creating a striking contrast with the smooth body of the snake.
The ring is in good pre-owned condition with normal oxidation and signs of wear. Since the assessment of condition is highly subjective, please click and zoom in on our photos for more detailed condition information as a basis for your own judgment.
