French Charles X Palais-Royal mini dance booklet
This is a lovely dance card with mother of pearl covers from the Charles X era, c 1820-1830s.
The booklet has elegant foliage borders to both back and front covers. An enameled pansy plaque is set to the cover which is a typical mark of Palais-Royal objects. The dance card can be opened like a fan with three original paper pages inside. These papers are blank but shows some signs of stains.
Dance card/booklet, used by ladies to record dance partners and sequences, is typical of luxury objects sold in the Palais-Royal boutiques in Paris during the French Restoration.
