A fine quality opal and diamond halo ring c.1870-1890, English in origin.
Center Australian opal cabochon is surrounded by a dainty halo of rose cut diamonds, set to an exquisite triple split shank. Under sunlight the opal demonstrates a strong play of fire which cannot be fully captured in studio.
