French cannetille gemstone marquise ring
A French Charles X (English late Georgian) gold cannetille gemstone marquise ring dates from 1830-1850s. The marquise is in a slightly scalloped shape due to the decorating curve lines along its edge. It is set with a mother of pearl, 2 emeralds cabochons and 2 turquoises. Ring shoulders are furtherly decorated with gold wires. This ring bears French horse head control mark, indicating the ring is crafted in 18k solid gold, controlled outside of Paris from 1839-1919. We date this piece to 1830-1850 based on its design and craftsmanship.
Please notice that the shank is slightly distorted in form as shown in our pictures, not very noticeable while wearing. As the assessment of an item's condition is highly subjective, please click and enlarge our photos to examine more detailed condition highlights for your judgment.
